Sponsorship Opportunity

Linn Benton Food Share is currently seeking sponsorships for the Fresh Alliance/Food Rescue program.  Every month over 20,000 pounds of high-quality, nutritious food is provided to food pantries and soup kitchens.  Donations include dairy products, fresh produce, meat and deli products.  If not for this program, the food would simply be thrown away.  LBFS operates a refrigerated vehicle and driver to pick up donations from Ray’s Market in North Albany as well as Fred Meyer and Albertsons locations in Albany and Corvallis .  Due to the nature of the food, however, food safety regulations require strict temperature controls and added training for volunteers and staff.  Coupled with fuel prices, the continued operation of this program needs support.  Sponsors would receive recognition in all LBFS materials as well as decal signs on the LBFS Fresh Alliance vehicle and at donation sites.  Sponsorships for business start at $6,000 per year.  In this time of high demand for emergency food, LBFS must capture as much food as possible to address the needs of the communities served.
