I just returned from visiting my parents in Albany, Oregon. During the two
weeks I was there I was able to switch my mother to a new health insurance
policy that not only provides her with much better coverage but also saves
my parents approximately $6,000/yr thanks to the help of SHIBA volunteer
Karen Burrell. Karen met with us twice and provided us with much needed
expertise. She was a delight to work with and helped me through a rather
difficult process with charm and good humor.
Your agency provides a much-needed service. Thank you very much.

The combination of Mr. Block's expertise as a retired OSU pharmacy
professor, his own life experiences, and his SHIBA volunteer training
resulted in excellent class sessions for "Medicare 101." I'm
learning all this to help my aging mother and Mr. Block made what seemed
impossible to understand both understandable and accessible! Thanks so
much!
