Steering Committee Meeting

May 10, 2007

Attendees: Bill Hall, Tom Hatley, Cassedea Hansen, Don Taylor, Richard Sherlock, Joanne Troy

1. Draft Plan

-Tom Hatley and Bill Hall have received some feedback via email and made a few changes. They will continue editing the plan and get a new version out for the stakeholder’s meeting.

-At the next stakeholders meeting, we will present the revised draft plan, get it on the web for feedback and Bill Hall will send out a press release.

-An executive summary for the plan is in the works.

2. Project Homeless Connect

-Date is going to be in early to mid October so that the Lions bus will be available with medical testing and vision testing

- We will formally announce the county adoption of the 10-year plan at this event

3. Future of Stakeholder/Steering committees

-The next stakeholders meeting will be our last

-The steering committee will continue to meet until the plan has been formally adopted. At that point we will move into new committees; a governing committee and possibly several operations committees.

-Operations committees will be discussed at the next stakeholder’s meeting and there will be sign up sheets for people to join them. We are currently looking into these options:

1.      Project Homeless Connect

2.      One-Stop Day Service Center

3.      Capacity building Committee for existing organizations

4.      Workforce housing committee
