Governing Committee Meeting July 26, 2007 1pm First Presbyterian Church
Attendees: Tom Hatley , Cassedea Hansen, Don Taylor, Richard Sherlock, Bill Hall, Sharon Cox, Anne Swinehart, Joanne Troy, Bridget Dix, Barb Dougherty
1. Updates to the draft 10-year plan: - Still in the process of updating the final plan and making the final adjustments -We will give the plan to Janet at the end of August to put in its final format -We still need more pictures to put into the plan. We need some of the families, youth, and children, and CDC houses.
2. Review of Action Steps a. Project Homeless Connect October 25, 2007 9-10 pres, 10-4pm services b. One-Stop Resource Center -We need to support Deanna Taber in her efforts in Lincoln City -Still have no site for Newport, Sharon will take the lead for the Newport site and head up a subcommittee on this c. Capacity Building -Not on the agenda right now, we are waiting for an agency to take the lead d. Workforce Housing -Subcommittee in creation of the 10-year plan governing committee and the economic alliance e. Community Land Trust (CLT) -Clay Martin from CSC is leading this group and in the process of forming a committee to create a CLT in Lincoln county. f. Rental Assistance Fund -Bill Hall is working on this project - Trying to set up a no-interest loan or IDA. g. Housing Rehabilitation for Rental Properties -Tom Hatley is working on this action step h. City Policy on Homeless Camping -Headed up by Linda Gast i. Homeless and Runaway Youth -Commission on Children and Families is expecting to get at least $15k/county. Barb would like to either build a committee or hear any suggestions on how to best utilize the money. j. Public Safety System -Public Safety Council is in charge of this action step
3. Other -We should bring back the stakeholders for an update. They should meet on a quarterly basis. Next: governing meeting August 21, 1pm Stakeholders meeting September 27 |
