First Presbyterian Church, Newport

Members Present: Bill Hall, Bridget Dix, Tom Hatley, Joanne Troy, Anne Swinehart, Cassedea Hansen

1. Review of Lincoln City and Waldport forum

Positives: Great turnout, informative discussions

There were around forty people in attendance at the Lincoln City Forum and around twenty people at the Waldport Forum

2. Update on the Interview Process

 We are still in the process of conducting interviews

We should try to wrap them up within the next month

2. Open Discussion

Creation of the draft for the ten year plan, Tom has already started working on the draft, Bill promises to do an introduction.

We need to realize that there are numerous definitions of homeless. The federal definition, state definition, and the school definition are all different.

How are we going to get more affordable housing in the area? Should it be through zoning changes, single-family units, transitional housing, and/or permanent supportive housing?

3. Agenda for February 8^th Stakeholders Meeting

Report on information from Lincoln City and Waldport forums held earlier this month

Summary of findings received to date on prevention and intervention strategies.  Provide an opportunity for stakeholders to make additional comments.

Move on to discussion of building infrastructure and developing goals for County
