A word from a current Friend,

 

“It is a question friends often ask me.  I have no children in the program, I do not work for Head Start, so why?  I am a “Friend” because not all children have the opportunity to succeed and not every parent knows how to advocate for their child's education.   Head Start prepares every child who enrolls for school and empowers their parents to make sure they get the best education possible.  That is why I am a "Friend."   -Dean-Stephen Kaufman, J.D.   Lincoln County Head Start Friend Representative Member, Executive Board, Oregon Head Start Association Member and Vice President-Elect, Region X Head Start Association Member, Board of Directors, National Head Start Association
