Text Box: Minestrone Soup

Enjoy this warm and hearty soup for an excellent source of vitamin A, thanks to the vegetables.
This recipe is provided by Kraft®.
Substitute 1 can (16 oz.) red kidney beans, rinsed, drained, for cooked kidney beans.

Low-fat, low-sodium                   2 cans            14 ½ oz
  chicken broth                                              
Uncooked shell macaroni            ¼ cup
No-salt added stewed tomatoes  1 can            16 oz
 (reserve juice), coarsely chopped
Cooked kidney beans                  2 cups
(prepared   
  without salt)                
Garlic powder                               1 tsp
Dried basil leaves                         1 tsp

  






Preparation Instructions

Heat all ingredients in large saucepan on medium-high heat to boil.        Reduce heat; simmer 20 minutes or until macaroni is cooked.
Serve soup with Triscuit® Low Sodium Crackers
